Feeling seen, supported and accepted can make a lasting difference in a young person’s life. This August, KINTO is proud to support Wear It Purple by helping shine a light on an organisation making a meaningful impact on LGBTQIA+SB young people across Australia.
Through a series of specially branded KINTO X Wear It Purple vehicles, we aim to encourage more Australians to discover their organisation and the important work they do to build inclusion, belonging and support.
What is Wear It Purple?
Wear It Purple is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and empowering LGBTQIA+SB young people. Since 2010, it has worked to challenge bullying, discrimination and exclusion, helping to create environments where young people feel seen, accepted and know that they are not alone.
Every year, Wear It Purple Day brings schools, workplaces and communities across Australia together to show their support for rainbow youth. This year's event will take place on 28 August 2026, with people encouraged to get involved by wearing purple, hosting an event, sharing resources or making a donation.
What began as an act of visibility has grown into a national movement, with thousands of schools, workplaces, community groups, and individuals taking part each year to champion diversity and community for LGBTQIA+SB young people.
Supporting a more inclusive future
At KINTO, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcome and respected while able to be themselves. We’re proud to amplify Toyota Finance Australia’s support for Wear It Purple, and help raise awareness of the organisation and its mission to promote inclusion, acceptance and support for LGBTQIA+SB young people.
By helping more people discover Wear It Purple, we hope to encourage conversations around feeling recognised and a sense of belonging, while shining a light on the important work that the organisation does to support young people throughout the year.
Wear It Purple on the road
Throughout August, 3 KINTO Toyota Corollas will feature Wear It Purple branding to help raise awareness in communities across Australia. You’ll find them in Brunswick (VIC), Newtown (NSW) and New Farm (QLD), available to book through the KINTO app for a discounted rate of $7 per hour or $50 for a day.

To book one, simply open the KINTO app and search for the relevant vehicle location. Each vehicle will be labelled “Toyota Wear-It-Purple Branded Corolla”, making them easy to find and book.
By helping more people discover Wear It Purple and the work they do, KINTO hopes this encourages conversations around acceptance, respect, and support for rainbow young people.
