Bondi Beach is one of Australia's most iconic beaches. This gorgeous stretch of sand is a popular destination for visitors and locals, drawing them in for its scenic ocean views, surf culture and vibrant atmosphere. Spend the day lazing about on the golden sand, soaking up the sun and reading a book, take a dip among the sparkling waves between the yellow flags or grab your board and jump into the surf. If you're new to surfing and want to give it a try, book into one of the surf classes where you can learn how to surf from an accredited surf school, no matter the time of year. Be sure also to check out the Bondi Icebergs, a swimming club with pools on the water.

This is a great spot to stop by and pick up just about everything you need for a delicious picnic nearby. Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk
The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk is a wonderful way to get to know the Bondi area. The 6km walk can take anywhere from a few hours to complete up to the whole day, depending on if you want to stop at the beaches along the way and swim and make the day out of it. The coastal walk takes you along the jagged coastline of Bondi and shows off the cliff tops and stunning beaches along the way. This walk is popular among locals and visitors, and it's no surprise why. As you walk, you'll be rewarded with gorgeous picturesque views of the ocean below as you make your way along to 5 of Sydney's beautiful beaches.

Bondi Junction and the surrounding area have a wide range of delicious restaurants and cafes to choose from. Exploring the local cafes and restaurants connects you to the soul of the region and is an opportunity to delight in the flavours of the area. Choose from trendy hot spots to local favourites and family-owned restaurants serving specialty recipes passed down for generations. Choose from all sorts of cuisine, including comforting Italian food, tasty Thai, fresh sushi and seafood, and flavourful Middle-Eastern cuisine, to name a few. Create memories while you're here eating delicious food with friends.
Centennial Park
Spend the day at Centennial Park, with 189 hectares of open space and parkland to explore and spread out on. Centennial Park is a fantastic place to spend time with family and friends outdoors. Pack the footy, frisbee, or soccer ball for a friendly game in the park. Bring a picnic rug and a good book to lounge in the sun reading, or bring the picnic basket filled with goodies for a lovely picnic by one of the gorgeous ponds. And, of course, check out the Ian Potter Children's Wild Play Garden, an immersive nature playground that allows children to explore and adventure in the natural environment. The playground includes nature play in dry creek beds, bamboo forest, water play area, turtle mounds, tree house and banksia tunnels.
Spend the Day at the Beach
If you want to skip the crowds at Bondi Beach but still want to have a beach day, there are plenty of beautiful beaches close to Bondi Junction. While it still brings a crowd, Bronte Beach is one you can't look past. This gorgeous stretch of sand is more relaxed than Bondi, and the Bronte Baths are a stunning rockpool, too. There is a wonderful park with BBQs on the beach, and the beach itself is a superb spot to spend the day. Next up is Mahon Pool, an ocean pool that is a great spot to go for a swim in a gorgeous pool. Gordons Bay is a tiny beach but is a fantastic spot to snorkel. Be prepared to sit on the rocks, though, as there is little sand space. Lastly, Kutti Beach feels like a hidden oasis that you'll be pleasantly surprised to find. It's a stunning beach with gorgeous blue waters perfect for swimming and soft sand ideal for relaxing on the shore.

Whether it's date night or you're searching for somewhere to catch up with friends, Bondi Junction and the surrounding areas have many spots to sit back and have a drink and a laugh. From cosy pubs to trendy bars, there are plenty of options for a night out on the town. While the Bondi area is known for its gorgeous beaches, it also offers a bustling nightlife with something for everyone. So put on your dancing shoes and get out for a terrific night to remember.
