Explore Nature at Ellis Brook Valley Reserve
A quick 10-minute drive from Maddington lies Ellis Brook Valley Reserve, a magnificent nature conservation park. This parkland features terrific walking trails, a cascading waterfall, and diverse flora and fauna. Grab your hiking shoes, water and hat and set out on one of the many tracks throughout the reserve. There are plenty to choose from for hikers of all grades, like the leisurely Blue Wren Marble Trail, where you can wander the woodlands and spot species of birds or the Easy Walk Trail, where you might spot an echidna. For something more challenging, the Sixty Foot Falls Trail is a hard 2 km walk to the top of the falls with incredible panoramic views along the way. A highlight of the reserve is the remarkable falls which tumble down the rock face into the depths below. For a magical experience, visit the park in spring to see the multi-coloured wildflowers that bloom throughout the reserve.

Located just outside Maddington in the Canning River Regional Park, a beautiful parkland that spans 6 km along Perth's Canning River. There is much to see and do within the park, including lovely nature walking tracks with opportunities for bird watching, canoeing down the river, and fishing. Explore this gorgeous parkland with diverse scenery, such as salt marshes, billabongs, dense woodlands and forests. With all these activities to participate in, you're sure to work up an appetite.
