Located right in the heart of Tamworth is the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame, a museum showcasing an extensive collection of memorabilia, outfits, and artefacts of country artists through the ages. The museum remembers great artists, sharing their stories and keeping their tales alive. While here, you can also see interesting musical instruments, sound collections, master records, photographs, old posters, and so much more. Tamworth Marsupial Park
Located on 14 hectares of parkland, the Tamworth Marsupial Park is a free animal experience where visitors can get up close with a range of Australian wildlife. Bring the kids for a fun day spotting the wildlife; there are kangaroos, wallabies, emus and a range of other birds, too. There are even majestic peacocks that visitors are allowed to feed. Tamworth Marsupial Park also has an Adventure Playground built within it where kids can run, climb, balance, slide and swing through the playground. The playground has two separate sections, one for under-fives and the other for bigger kids to play. Come to Tamworth Marsupial Park and spend time at the park wandering the walking tracks, seeing the animals and playing on the playgrounds.

Attend an event at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre, a hub of competitions and shows located in Tamworth. Previous events that have been held here range from rodeos to equine competitions, as well as informational sessions on the beef industry and more. If you’re booking in to see a rodeo, you’re in for a treat! These competitions are exhilarating. Bicentennial Park is a Tamworth icon located along the banks of the Peel River. This park is a hot spot among locals, where they exercise, relax, and connect with friends and family. This huge green space features picturesque duck ponds perfect for picnicking next to, a row of busts of country music stars, a great playground for the kids to run around on, as well as tracks for walking and biking. Bicentennial Park is a beautiful place to relax on the sloping lawns, throw the frisbee with friends and spend the afternoon in the sun.
