Get Back in Nature at Kroombit Tops National Park
Located about an hour from the centre of Biloela is Kroombit Tops National Park, a magnificent nature oasis. The parkland features hectares upon hectares of rugged terrain with sandstone cliffs, stunning gorges, creeks, and cascading waterfalls. While at the park, you can explore some of the walking tracks and hike through woodlands and rainforests. Bring binoculars and keep an eye out for any wildlife as you walk. You'll be able to spot many species of birds as you roam through the park, and if you're lucky, you might even spot the endangered Kroombit tinker frog. And, deep in the forest, there are also the remains of the Beautiful Betsy, a WWII Liberator bomber that crashed in 1945 and has been here ever since. That is one highlight you won't want to miss! If you're enjoying your time, stay a little longer, reconnect with nature and break from technology, taking things back to basics with camping under the stars.
