Whether you're looking for somewhere fantastic to camp out or if you're only visiting for the day, there is so much to do along the Murray River. There are over 500 km of scenery to explore on and along the river. Take in the fresh air as you walk or cycle along one of the many trails along the banks of the Murray River; take some binoculars and see if you can spot any iconic Australian wildlife along the way. In particular, there are many species of birds that flow through the area. If you're interested in watersports, this is a fantastic spot to kayak, canoe, stand-up paddle board, boat, fish, or waterski. There is plenty to do and experience at the Murray River.

If you love aviation, then this is the place for you. Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum has over 500 items on display, including a restored Catalina A24-30. There are also rare memorabilia associated with World War 2, such as weapons, uniforms, armoury, engines and other artefacts that are on display. Additionally, there is an underground communications bunker that has been recreated from old photos and floor plans that would have been used during the War. This museum has been thoughtfully created to showcase the collections of memorabilia and artefacts and is a gem.

If you're up for a road trip to see a stunning natural wonder, jump in the car and head to Lake Tyrrell. This hidden gem is the largest inland salt lake in Victoria. It is dry most of the year but is filled with shallow waters during certain months and acts like a mirror to the sky. This means you can appear to be walking in the clouds while standing on the lake. How surreal. This beauty turns pink during some months of the year, too, due to algae in the lake and is definitely not one to miss.
