Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery

Immerse yourself in art, history and natural science at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. The QVAM is split into two locations: the Museum at Inveresk and the Art Gallery at Royal Park, each a short drive away from the other. The museum has a range of fantastic exhibitions to explore, such as the Tasmanian Tiger, which shares artefacts and the history of this extinct animal; Botanica, which explores the different uses of flora; and the Tasmanian Connections exhibition, unearthing dinosaurs, geology and more. The museum is also home to the Planetarium, where visitors can have an out-of-this-world experience, booking shows to learn about the stars and planets. Explore Cataract Gorge Reserve

Just outside Launceston City Centre is the Cataract Gorge Reserve, a stunning nature escape right in the heart of Launceston. There is a ziplining where you can sail over the treetops, catering for most ages up to 75! Visit NetWorld, a network of interconnected nets elevated off the ground with trampolines, ball pits and more. Take on the Tree Ropes Courses and challenge yourself to make it through all 5 of them. Pick your path along the ropes course and make your way up to a knee-shaking 25 metres off the ground. Take a 90-minute Segway Tour through the gorgeous forest, followed by a practice course. Or hire a bike and take on one of the 3 mountain bike paths in the park. There's something for everyone.
